Villa Giannis was a great place to stay for us. It was only a short 20min walk to the front where there are a multitude of bars/restaurants, all of a high standard. As the villa was up a hill there is always going to be some uphill walking and in the heat some people might find this difficult, especially with full shopping bags as all the shops we found are down at the front. While it wasnt a problem for us (we are in our mid 60s) older or less active people could find it problematic. But there are good taxi links from the centre to the villa. There is a bus from the town centre (Kalyvas) to Chania and Google will tell you the times but the last bus back there is only at 18:00, a bit early for our liking but good enough for a decent stay at the main local city. As stated earlier, the villa was great and well looked after but be aware if you have small children as its not very child friendly, lots of places for the little mites to climb up/through/around. But our youngster loved the small pool which adjoin the main pool and would stay in as long as allowed. So to sum up... Fantastic place slightly out in the hills so very quiet, yet local enough to the town to walk. Would recommend and hopefully stay there again if possible.

We were very pleased with our stay and were very satisfied with out Villa and the service of Agni Travel Team and also with local maintenance. This was also the case during our previous stay in 2018 and was one reason to come back. Besides the beauty and the good weather in Greece :) Frank

Excellent. This is the sixth or seventh time that we have used either Villa Giannis or Villa Dimitri and we will almost certainly be using either of them again in the near future.

We had a brilliant holiday, the villa was in a great location and lovely to spend time relaxing in. Would recommend it to others and would happily go back again.The pool is bigger than shown on the photos - so that was a nice surprise!

Had a thoroughly enjoyable, restful time. I guess that we are not typical clients in that we hardly do any exploring as we come to rest and relax and that is exactly what we did!! The villa gave us everything that we required. Quiet. Lovely well maintained garden. Nice clean well maintained swimming pool that was a sensible depth for the whole length. Would happily use Villa Giannis or its neighbor Villa Dimitris in the future. Thank You.

Villa Giannis was better than expected. The photos dont do it justice. We absolutely loved everything about it, the pool, the views of the mountains, outdoor areas, balcony... It was fantastic. Thank you.

We enjoyed our holiday vacation in Villa Giannis. It`s a very nice and calm place with an amazing view around. The children had much fun in the pool and the garden.

A good house close to a very clean beach and picturesque coastline. Plenty of good places to eat creating a relaxed holiday.

Noch nie ist mir eine Bewertung so leicht gefallen. Wir haben bereits 30 Jahre Ferienhaus Erfahrung in den verschiedensten LA¤ndern, aber Villa Giannis schlA¤gt alles. Sowohl der Service von Agni Travel als auch die Betreuung vor Ort sind klasse. Pool Reinigung, Zwischenreinigung der Zimmer, Handtuchwechsel, sogar gespA?lt wurde, damit hatten wir nicht gerechnet und ist unA?blich bei Ferienhausurlaub. So etwas hatten wir bisher noch bei keinem Anbieter. Kurz gesagt: es war perfekt.

The location is excellent and views superb. 30 mins walk or 5 min drive from beach and restaurants in Kalyves. It is serene and relaxing and well equipped for self catering. Only about 30 mins from airport but be sure to either print the directions or be sure your Google maps / data will work specially if a late arriving flight. Kalyves in April was quiet which suited us well - not for u if a disco fiend. Some good walks accessible within 20-50 minutes drive. Wed certainly come again.

Kalyves is a beautiful place backdrop of the mountains is spectacular and the view from this villa fab. Retains a Greek village feel although plenty of tavernas etc. Few minutes drive to the village beach but villa surrounded by olive groves and feels secluded. Lovely pool and garden. Definitely recommend for a relaxing chilled break.

The location of the villa is its greatest asset looking towards the White mountains. It has superb outside spaces which are lovingly maintained and is very private. Inside the living areas were spacious. We were very happy here. This area of western Crete was a lovely surprise and despite quite mixed weather we had a great holiday with several lovely walks and outings.

We had a very peaceful and enjoyable holiday and really enjoyed the Villa and the outdoor space. The panoramic views were a joy and the Village of Kalyves was very pretty and had everything we needed as a family.
