We had really great time in the villa. It is very spacious and the amenities are very comfortable.

Our stay at Villa Archontiko Galliaki was lovely, the villa itself was fantastic. Having everything you need to hand. Such a lovely location with shops and restaurants near by. You could get by without a car but its great to have to travel further afar. The pool was kept immaculate with frequent visits to check it was crystal clear and cleaning was excellent. We wouldnt hesitate to go back there.

Village very friendly, cleaner excellent

Archontiko Galliaki is a perfect house to explore Crete from. Easy to the beautiful south coast, very quick to Rethymno, an hour to Heraklion and Chania. Petrakis met us to explain the workings of the house, which is fabulous, and Maria made sure it was all spotlessly clean, changing linen and cleaning midway through our stay. Petrakis recommended a few places to eat and swim, which were all amazing. We ate incredibly well all week thanks to these suggestions. I cant rate this property highly enough, though. It is quirky and charming, loads of space if you take the family, a lovely little pool in the courtyard to cool you down. We will be staying again. Harriet

We had the best time staying at Archontiko Galliaki! The villa was gorgeous and just what we needed with lots of space for everyone. The pool was great and the wee one had a great time swimming at any available opportunity. Dimitris and Maria were lovely and so helpful with anything we needed. Couldnt have asked for a better place to stay for our first visit to Crete.

We had the most amazing 16 day holiday at Archontiko Galliaki, it is great base to explore the whole of Rethymon. Dimitrisis was there to greet us with his lovely charming and warm manner despite it being gone past one am when we eventually arrived and Maria has come in every few days to change our laundry (a lovely treat which I did not know we had). We have fallen in love with this area of Crete and would come back again. Thank you

Your team was excellent. Dimitris attended to the few concerns we had immediately, and Marias cleaning haflway through, along with a change of towels, was much appreciated. Would recommend to friends. Will return.

Could do with a welcome pack of local tavernas but other than that a very relaxing place to stay . Car essential - but a small one !

Very enjoyable - great villa would suit a group of 3 couples and 2 kids very well certainly luxurious accommodation for the 3 of us. The villa is really 3 separate apartments with a communal kitchen and pool. Nice area very rural around the villa and good access by driving to beaches and mountains etc. We rented a basic little hatchback but if one wanted to explore the less obvious parts of the island a 4-wheel drive vehicle would be good lots of rough unpaved roads eg the road to Palm Beach. Fantastic Villa with perfect facilities. For a family like us wanting quiet and privacy this was absolutely ideal. Thank you to Christos for making our arrival such a friendly experience and giving us such a warm welcome. House maid was lovely too and a mention to Timos for his prompt and appreciated attention in dealing with my request at Agni. Our thanks again for a perfect relaxing holiday.

We all loved this villa. The swimming pool is totally private. The rooms are almost like three separate apartments one enormous double suite with en suite bathroom on the ground floor with doors opening directly onto the pool terrace. One double room with en suite shower room on the first floor giving onto the beautiful terrace that runs almost all the way round the property - beautiful views of the mountains. One mezzanine room opening into the kitchen dining room with bunk beds and bathroom on the ground floor and a spiral staircase leading to the mezzanine with a double bed and exit out onto the first floor terrace. The outside dining area is well shaded. The barbecue is outside the property just opposite the doorway into the courtyard - personally I think that is a good thing as the courtyard stays cleaner. The description of the property is absolutely accurate.

Superb villa full of charm and renovated with great taste. The courtyard and terrace make you want to come back to a more sunny time to enjoy the pool more. The house is located a few minutes from the village where there are many small shops that can be opened very late (bakeries grocery stores petrol stations and inns). 10 minutes from Rethymnon and about 30 minutes from the south of the island. We were greeted very warmly at our late arrival and we thoroughly enjoyed the comforts of the housekeeping and the linen changed in mid-stay. Luxury

I would not hesitate to recommend Archontiko Galliaki. The villa is beautiful and very well located for Rethymno and only a 20-30 minute drive of the lovely beaches on the south of the island at Plakias and Souda Bay. There are a couple of supermarkets and an excellent family run taverna in the village as well as a bakery and pharmacy. If you like to get away from it all then this is the perfect spot but hop in the car and within 10 minutes you will be in the heart of Rethymno to enjoy the excellent restaurants shopping or nightlife. I would suggest a car is essential if you really want to make the most of Crete but many excursions can be arranged from Rethymno. We used Klados Travel for our excursion to the Samaria Gorge. Chania is well worth a visit - closer to home there is the Melidoni Cave and the Arkadi Monastry. We will most definitely be back

The position of the villa allows you to discover Rethymnon very easily and the splendid southern beaches. The village is very pleasant and all amenities are available. The house is beautiful, three small apartments which the children loved. We highly recommend this property!

We had a wonderful family holiday. The villa is well located in central Crete a short drive from Rethymno and within an hour of many destinations but also in a quiet traditional village. We enjoyed the mix of relaxing by the pool and seeing some of the historic sites often ending the day with a meal at the excellent local taverna.

We were very happy with the situation and the privacy of the house. We liked the fact that we were not in a tourist surrounding but felt comfortable with our very kind neighbours who looked so perfectly after the house and the swimming pool. The central position of the house on the island was very nice, we could do everything we wanted without having to drive for hours. And living in a property with so much history and lots of space, felt very comfortable and luxurious. Also the warm welcome we got from Mr. Christos was very touching plus the fact that you from Agni Travel contacted us several times to ask if everything was ok. Well done. So overall we can say we had the most wonderful holidays. All five of us didnt want to go home, so thats the best sign.

The villa which was previously an olive press has been beautifully renovated. The photos do not really do it justice. The bedrooms are huge The village of Armeoni was a short stroll from the villa were we discovered a lovely traverna where we ate 4 times. The supermarkets are well stocked and the locals could not be more helpful. A special delight for us all was the lady next door providing us with newly laid eggs and tomatoes from her garden.

This is a beautiful house with a real sense of history. The furnishings are well chosen and of good quality. The bedrooms are huge. The owners should be proud of their efforts. Armenoi is typically Cretan a little rough round the edges with warm-hearted people a great tarverna and decent supermarket we loved it and didnt really want to leave. This is a great centre for touring central Crete. There are some superb beaches on the south coast within an easy drive.
